iPad app proof of concept

Put Rascals on your iPad.

This uses the same website, login, lessons, and releases. There is no second curriculum app to keep in sync.

Checking app mode

One tiny moment.

Install it in about 30 seconds

  1. Open this page in SafariSafari is the most reliable path. Newer iPadOS versions may also offer Add to Home Screen from other browsers.
  2. Tap the Share buttonLook for the square with an arrow pointing up. It is beside the address bar or in Safari's toolbar.
  3. Choose Add to Home ScreenIf an Open as Web App option appears, leave it turned on. Then tap Add.
  4. Launch the Rascals iconIt opens in its own app window. Sign in once there, then the family can use it like the regular iPad apps.

What this test proves

One product

The Home Screen app always loads the current production site.

App-like launch

It gets a Rascals icon and its own window without browser controls.

Same family account

No kid login or duplicate account system is required.

Expected on the first launch:Apple keeps a Home Screen web app’s login storage separate from Safari. You may need to sign in once inside the new app even if Safari was already signed in. After that, the normal 30-day family session applies.
