Use Rascals like an iPad app

Add Rascals to the iPad Home Screen with its own icon and app window.

Install from Safari

Open rez0srascals.com/install in Safari on the iPad. The page checks whether app mode is active and walks through the same steps below.

  1. Tap Safari's Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
  2. Tap Add to Home Screen.
  3. If Open as Web App appears, leave it turned on.
  4. Tap Add, then launch the new Rascals icon from the Home Screen.

The app opens in its own window without Safari's address bar. It is still the same live Rascals product, so lessons and improvements arrive automatically with each website release.

Sign in once inside the app

Apple keeps a Home Screen web app's cookies and storage separate from regular Safari. If Safari was already signed in, the installed app may ask you to sign in once more. This is expected. It uses the same parent email and password, and kids still do not need their own logins.

What requires internet

This first version loads the live website and needs an internet connection. It does not cache lessons or family data for offline use yet. Keeping authenticated child data out of an early service-worker cache avoids stale lessons and privacy surprises while the install experience is tested.

Remove it

Press and hold the Rascals icon on the iPad Home Screen, choose Remove App, then confirm. This removes the Home Screen copy only. It does not cancel the subscription or delete the family account.
